A massed choir (and more!) spectacular to open the New Zealand International Arts Festival in Wellington. Carol is assistant musical director for the choral component of this free event in Civic Square on the night of 21st February. The show features 200 young New Zealanders from Wellington, Christchurch and South Auckland in a drumming group led by internationally acclaimed percussion ensemble Strike. They’ll be taking to the stage in Civic Square alongside hundreds of singers from community choirs across the region and top Kiwi band Kora, who’ll bring their own special blend of future-shocked funk, soul and R’n’B to the mix. This will be an explosive night for the whole of Wellington to remember – we’ll see you there!
